With over 10 years experience flying mainly IC and petrol large scale models I have enjoyed gaining experience by flying a vast array of models. As a long standing active committee member I enjoy organising Fun Fly competitions and social events for members and promoting the club at community events and fetes. I want to help members enjoy all aspects of the club.

Profile
I was taught to fly RC around 20 years ago by SMAC members and have been addicted ever since. I have special interests in large models, gliders and autogyros. Familiar with petrol/Glow and electric power and a retired 'expert' in electrical noise immunity and reliability. I get a lot of satisfaction in passing on my expertise to younger and inexperienced members.

Profile
Flying with Swindon Model Aero Club since 2000, I have been on the committee since 2009. I have a preference for Warbirds and large scale models, with a selection of WWI, WW2 and Vietnam War era aircraft.
I find flying & socialising with other members a great stress reliever after a hard week at work. If you have the time to build your own model, you get great satisfaction from seeing it completed and flying. If time is tight, there are many Almost Ready To Fly models to get you flying quickly but these can be detailed to make them stand apart from the crowd. There are many different disciplines at the Club, from gliders to warbirds, electric power & combustion engines, so whatever your preference there is something for everyone and always help at hand from friendly Club mates.

Profile

I became a member of SMAC during my youth when I joined up with my dad. Over the years, my involvement with the club has cultivated a deep appreciation for various facets of the hobby. While I have explored a wide range of pursuits, my particular enjoyment lies with scale flying. I take pride in actively contributing to the club by assisting fellow enthusiasts and introducing newcomers to the world of model flying to sustain this hobby.

SMAC boasts outstanding facilities that cater to the needs of both seasoned members and novices alike. My aspiration is to harness these resources to showcase the club's exceptional offerings in the most compelling and effective manner possible.

My husband Mark has been involved with the committee for some years and I have assisted him at Fun fly events and social evenings providing food and refreshments with another club wife, Lynn and I am now assisting the committee by taking on the Welfare role.
